Air, Polls, Parking, Permits
First, in an unpleasant homage to a few weeks back, our air quality may worsen tomorrow, Wednesday, June 28th, and Thursday, June 29th. The Air Quality Index (AQI) could reach unhealthy levels due to smoke from ongoing Canadian wildfires.

Second, polls for primary elections are open until 9 PM. In CB6, the most high-profile primary is for Civil Court Judge. In a low-turnout year like this, your vote has a greater impact on the outcome. So, if you haven’t voted, go to findmypollsite.vote.nyc.
Third, Alternate Side Parking will be suspended for EID tomorrow, Wednesday, June 28th, through Friday, June 30th. Parking meters will remain in effect.
Fourth, shifting into CB6’s sphere of influence, our Permits & Licenses Committee met last night and approved two liquor license applications. One was for a Caribbean restaurant at 236 6th Street named Cozy On The Slope, and the other was for an American restaurant at 215 Columbia Street. Both approvals were unanimous.
