Brooklyn Community District 18 encompasses Canarsie, Bergen Beach, Mill Basin, Flatlands, Marine Park, Georgetown, and Mill Island. Covering 8.8 square miles and home to more than 190,000 residents, it is the borough's largest community district by land area.

It includes Canarsie, Bergen Beach, Mill Basin, Flatlands, Marine Park, Georgetown, and Mill Island, with a built form that ranges from attached houses and garden apartments to waterfront blocks and major parkland.
