About This District

Brooklyn Community District 8

Brooklyn Community District 8 encompasses Crown Heights, Prospect Heights, and Weeksville. Covering 3 square miles and home to roughly 96,000 residents, it sits between Atlantic Avenue and Eastern Parkway.

It has rowhouses, apartment buildings, cultural institutions, historic districts, churches, schools, and major transit corridors. The district's built form changes quickly from block to block, but the central questions are consistent: housing, preservation, commercial corridors, and how growth meets existing communities.

Thanks, and email if you have any thoughts.
