About This District

Manhattan Community District 11

Manhattan Community District 11 encompasses East Harlem (El Barrio), Randall's Island, and Wards Island. Covering 1.5 square miles and home to more than 120,000 residents, it covers upper Manhattan east of Fifth Avenue, along with Randall's and Wards Islands in the East River.

The district includes public housing, apartment buildings, cultural institutions, hospitals, parks, industrial edges, and major transportation infrastructure.
