Nothing here is calculated. Every tile opens the citywide address search, which reads zoning and land use from PLUTO and districts from Geoclient. All twenty-six addresses were run through that search and the card’s own answer recorded.

CUNY is not zoned as CUNY. There is no university district. Bronx Community College sits in R5, the same low-density residential zoning as the houses around it. Lehman, Queens College and York are R6 and R4. LaGuardia occupies an M1-4 light manufacturing lot in Long Island City. Only the newer Midtown schools sit in commercial districts.

Some campuses are office floors. Five of the six graduate and professional schools are addresses in Manhattan buildings rather than campuses: the School of Professional Studies and the School of Journalism both sit on M1-9A/R12 lots in the Garment District.

Baruch sits on a district line. The campus occupies the corner of Lexington Avenue and 24th Street. The point in CUNY’s own file falls in Manhattan Community District 5; the 55 Lexington Avenue entrance falls in District 6. Both are true of different parts of the building. The pin follows the address the card describes.
