About This District

Brooklyn Community District 17

Brooklyn Community District 17 encompasses East Flatbush, Remsen Village, Farragut, Rugby, Erasmus, and Ditmas Village. Covering 3.1 square miles and home to more than 150,000 residents, it covers a large residential section of central and eastern Brooklyn.

East Flatbush, Remsen Village, Farragut, Rugby, Erasmus, and Ditmas Village include rowhouses, apartment buildings, medical institutions, schools, and commercial corridors. The district is large enough to contain several neighborhood identities, but its shared issues are familiar: housing stability, transportation, street safety, public services, and local economic activity.

Thanks, and email if you have any thoughts.
