Manhattan Community District 9

Manhattan Community District 9 encompasses Hamilton Heights, Manhattanville, Morningside Heights, and Columbia University. Covering 1.5 square miles and home to more than 110,000 residents, it covers upper Manhattan between the Hudson River and Harlem.

The district sits between the Hudson River, Harlem, and the institutions of upper Manhattan. It has apartment buildings, public housing, campuses, churches, commercial corridors, and waterfront infrastructure.
